Lisa Scarbrough is a breast cancer survivor, patient advocate, writer, and program coordinator at ArmorUp for Life. Lisa has a masters in early education and spent more than 15 years in the classroom as a teacher and ESL working with underserved communities.
While Lisa’s first career was beyond rewarding, what truly gave her purpose and helped her find her WHY was helping her sister Loriana navigate the healthcare system during her battle with two cancers.
Now she wants to help pave the way for other patients so everyone has the same access and success navigating such a diagnosis. Lisa is passionate and purpose-driven in her mission to improve quality of life, and health literacy in the cancer community and ultimately improve patient outcomes through programs and education.
Lisa lives in Peachtree City, GA with her husband Rick, and their two daughters, Mia and Maggie.
